Synesthesia v1.18 Changelog

v1.18 introduces the Scene Marketplace, where you can purchase new Scenes to add to your library while directly supporting the shader artists who made them. The Marketplace launches with 13 new scenes, from returning artists such as:

• Flexi
• UFFFD
• fungal victor

as well as new artists added to our roster:

• tenorless
• Psybernautics
• kayem

The Marketplace also includes a few revamped classics from the Synesthesia Team that are totally free.

You can access the Marketplace from directly inside Synesthesia, just click on the blue Marketplace tab on the left. Visit our site to learn more about how the Marketplace works.

Marketplace Features

• Live preview any Marketplace Scene by clicking "Preview Scene".
• During Live Preview the scene will be audio reactive as normal, but the visual output will be watermarked.
• During Live Preview a new bar will appear that allows you to randomize the controls, or add in test media to see how the scene interacts with media.
• Automatically downloads scenes and adds them to your library on purchase.
• Purchases are tied to your license, you can easily re-download them
• Browse by Scenes or by Artist, sorting and filtering by price or release date.
• Click on the heart on any scene card to "Favorite" it.
• Go to the "My Scenes" tab within the Marketplace to view your purchased scenes.
• Click "Download All Scenes" on the "My Scenes" page to download all your owned scenes, or go to a specific Scene's page to download just that one.
• Regular content updates pushed separately from our app updates, so check back often for new Scenes and exclusive deals.

New Features

Dropdown Control:

• Added a new control type, DROPDOWN, that presents a dropdown list of different label/value pairs.
• Dropdowns can be MIDI mapped, and a dropdown's options will be evenly distributed over the 0->1 or 0->127 range.
• Dropdowns can be "smooth" type, like any other control.
• Updated the Global Midi Mapping scene to include Dropdowns.

Other Control Updates:

• Added "COLOR SMOOTH" control type.
• Added "BANG COUNTER SMOOTH" control type.
• Now all control types have smooth variations!

MIDI Mapping:

• New Keyboard Hotkey for MIDI Mapping: "Control + M"
• Fixed an issue with styling that caused made controls difficult to see/select while mapping.
• MIDI Mapping should be smoother and more intuitive across the board.

Other Changes:

• Fixed a bug with playlist navigation, now if the timer is running and you use RightArrow/LeftArrow it should correctly fire.
• Now when a new scene is added to a playlist it will enter with the "gold" toggle option engaged, instead of the 'default' preset being the option.
• Reorganized left-hand tabs, grouping "Marketplace", "User Account", and "Community" tabs at the bottom, giving show-critical tabs more room to breathe.
• Fixed a bug where a spotty internet connection would restart the currently running scene.
