v1.24.1 Patch Changelog
New Built-in Scenes and Minor Bugfixes
New Built-in Scenes
Most new scenes we've released in the past few years have been as "freebies" on the Scene Marketplace, but for these two we're bundling them into the update. They'll appear right alongside the other built-ins, so just search for them in the library to try em out.
- Cosmic Dust - Classic aesthetic suitable for almost any type of music.
- Logo Grid Pulses - Great for adding reactive animation and FX to black and white logos.
And if you haven't downloaded the other 19 free scenes from the Marketplace yet, go grab those, too.
QoL/Bugfixes
- Control Collapse Views - Fixed cases where a vertical scrollbar could appear and eat up space on some displays on the single-row layout.
- Scene Editing Image/Cubemap Config - File explorer will open the correct scene folder when using "add images", instead of opening the most recently accessed folder like it does when adding media folders.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when loading large media without enough available RAM. The app should now fail gracefully with potential graphical glitches as opposed to crashing.
- (Windows Only) Fixed a crash on launch that could happen on new computers or fresh Windows 11 Home installations. Synesthesia will no longer complain about a missing .dll in these scenarios.
